It’s funny lately how there is so much chatter about video and resumes and employment and how it all can fit together. I have some very strong ideas about this and remember back in 97 and 99 when I bought the domain names VideoJobs.com and JobTV.com being very excited. What is interesting now is that in the last 2 months or so, I have started getting many offers for both of these.

Who knows what will be but what is interesting is that about 3 months ago, I put the domain name jobtv.com on ebay starting at 18k (would not have sold it for that but it was a starting point) I intentionally did not promote this auction anywhere because I wanted to see who was watching and who would be smart enough bid on it. There were no bids and no action. I would have bought it for 18k and would have considered it a deal but I can’t buy what I already have so…. % ?9 l$ ^% X" ^1 y; n- v

I now see Jobster talking about video and I see that Monster is really thinking hard about it and many upon many companies out there trying to get in on it. I don’t think that allowing candidates to create videos of themselves will help much but I do think that it gives hiring managers an interesting addition to their own current recruiting options.
