So I was browsing around and came across this list from Discovery Channel of the 25 greatest Americans. s0 `% S; W1 P' Y) e

By way of showing advanced personality degradation by reason of HCM immersion, my first thought was "Quality of Hire".

QoH is one of those very important ideas that we all understand and agree on, while having "greatly" divergant views of the actual actionable result. I+ A7 ]+ x/ f1 \3 s! l! h

Is it massive volume of information and data points ? The Discovery Channel list seems to say otherwise, because I'll wager you don't have more than two or three in their top ten. ' P6 ^1 ]# z/ N' P" C; V/ }
6 u! ~. z) x8 r+ ]! AWhat about weighting ? Big jobs give more far chances for greatness than small jobs. QoH must relate to compensation, but that relationship is problematic today. Big jobs have better chances of being symbolic jobs, and we are utterly creatures of symbol, even, or especially, in business. How do you measure and value symbolic contributions that generate, by whatever means, real cash or performance ?
